That is the question Naeve Brannigan and her three sisters are faced with on the eve of their 25th birthday.

Continuing a tradition they’ve hidden from their mother for years, the four women arrive at a tarot shop to have their futures told.
Only this time their futures aren’t predicted—they’re forever changed.

They’ve awoken in a strange time and place with no knowledge of how they got there. All they have to go by is the word of a man who claims to be family—a family they’ve never heard of.
He tells them of a world they could never have imagined. One that has been cursed by an Empress fueled by old revenge—revenge their mother appears to be at the center of.

As they fight to survive the people and dangers of an unknown land, they slowly begin to unravel its mysteries to find that they hold the key to saving this world…this Arcania.

The question that remains for each of them is: Who do you become when the you that you always were is no longer?

Hi Readers, If there is one book I would ask you to read this month it would be BENEATH IT ALL by Tori Madison. I loved this book. I learned from this book. I am a better woman for reading this book. Because I was amazed by this book I reached out to Tori Madison and asked her to be a guest on my blog today. Please welcome the fabulous Tori Madison to the blog!
**Please don’t forget to enter to win an eCopy of Beneath it All below (multiple winners!).**

Beneath It AllRRG: I loved the courage and strength Victoria has in Beneath it All. Did you find you had the same strength and courage during your experience with breast cancer?

TM: I wasn’t as strong as Victoria, or at least I didn’t feel that way. I tried to put on a brave face because I had two small children watching me go through it all. We explained that I had an “owwie” and that I would have to take “silly” medicine that would make me sick and lose my hair. They had no clue what was happening, but now they understand.
Hindsight, I could have been stronger, but I always have high expectations for myself.

TM3RRG: Do you have an amazing group of friends like Victoria has?

TM:I have a pretty awesome group of friends and the characters in the book definitely share a mixture of their personalities and traits. They all joke with me that we need to plan a spa day (which will happen) and a cabana boy night (pretty sure our spouses would have issues this this). A few of them stood by my side during my battle with breast cancer, while others I met after the fact. Regardless of when they came into my life, they are an important part of it now.

RRG: As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

TM: I wanted to be an interior designer. No joke. I actually went to school for it, but got bored and transferred out. I never had any big dreams other than to be a princess, of course.

RRG:What song can you not get out of your head?

TM: Running Around In My Dreams by Tyrone Wells. I just wrote an amazing part of book two listening to it on repeat.

TM PIcRRG: What was the last movie you saw?

TM: The Green Mile and I was bawling like a baby. I always do. I’m a very emotional person and when something grips my heart it takes over.

RRG: What do you like to read?

TM: I’m open to pretty much anything, but the whole paranormal, zombie, dystopian thing is not for me. I don’t shock easily when it comes to books, but shy away from books with domestic and extreme violence toward women.

What Have I Been Reading

Hi Readers- My post have been few and far between lately. It is not because I am not reading. I am working outside the house and that takes a lot more of my free time. I wanted to catch up and let you know what I’ve read in the last few weeks.

Historical Romance

Rules for a proper governess 1. Rules For A Proper Governess by Jennifer Ashley
I just finished finished this one over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. My favorite thing about this read was it wasn’t about a peer and a wallflower. It was about a barrister and a thief. For all you Ian Mackenzie fans he does makes an appearance (as do all the other Mackenzie’s).

always true to her

 2. Always True to Her by Maureen Driscoll
I enjoyed the story and characters of this book. Ms. Driscoll has a way of bringing you into a family that you never want to leave. She did with the Kellington’s and now she is doing it with the Emerson’s. James and Irene are a great couple and little Anna just steals your heart. I enjoyed the plot and character development.

The Suffragette Scandal 3. The Suffragette Scandal by Courtney Milan
This was an unforgettable read. Ms. Milan keeps breaking the mold and creating stories that are fresh and new. I love the take Free has on the world and how she make a difference. She knows it may not be the biggest difference today but it could be tomorrow. What a strong message to say. It was just a great read with a hot romance. There is a side story that I felt relayed a strong message as well.

Contemporary Romance

Seduction and Snacks 1. Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec
Holy Buckets of Laughter was what this book was about. Actually not just this book but the whole Chocolate Lovers Series. I have never laughed so hard while reading a book. This is a book that is really fun to read because of all the laughing you’ll do. It’s very open, real and raw about sex.
*I spent the better part of my summer reading these books. So fun!

Beneath It All 2. Beneath It All by Tori Madison
Being October and Breast Cancer Awareness month (it should be every month like all cancers and diseases) I wanted to make sure I pointed out this book. This book is about a young woman (my age!) finding out she has breast cancer and the toll it has on her marriage. This is a great read. It’s still a romance but with a very important message. This read made me think about my own life and marriage.

The Matchbaker 3. The Matchbaker by Jerrica Knight-Catania
This was an easy book to read and enjoy. The family dynamic is great and the twist of magic is fun. I am looking forward to more in this series.

Happy Reading!
