Cover Reveal: CONVICTION by Lesley Jones

Conviction Cover

Synopsis: She was mine. Our love unquestioned. Our futures planned. But she didn’t show. All that we had, all that we meant, and after all that was said, she just didn’t show. That one act by her changed everything, but it especially changed me and from that moment on, there was no going back. No words of love, no whispered promises, just sex and drugs and rock and roll. No one gets a piece of Reed, but what they will get is the night of their life, the chance to let go, break their own rules and enjoy the best, the
dirtiest, filthiest sex ever… Along with the other four people in my bed.

I thought he loved me, I believed everything he said, every promise that he made but then, when I needed him more than I’d needed anyone in my life, when I was at my most vulnerable, he let me down. He chose to take a different path and leave me to pick up the pieces of my now broken life. I was changed forever and chose the easy option, letting others take charge of my destiny, until once again,

I’m let down in the cruelest of ways.

Dirty filthy sex.

Love.

Heartbreak.

Betrayal.

High emotion.

And a bit more sex.

About Lesley Jones

I was born and raised in a small working class town in Essex, just outside of East London. I am married with three sons and in 2006 we all moved to the other side of the world, settling on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, about 50K outside of Melbourne, Australia. It’s a whole new way of life for us down here, we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world.I am currently a stay at home mum but in the past I have worked at Marks & Spencer, as a classroom assistant/teachers aid and have run my business.

As well as writing, I love to read and have been known to get through four or five books a week. My other interests are watching my boys play football…The round ball version. I am happy to admit to being an addict of social media and I owe a lot to my Facebook and Twitter family in promoting my work. I am also rather partial to a glass… or bottle of wine, a nicely chilled Marlborough Sav Blanc being my favorite. Being a born and raised Essex girl, I will happily admit to be being a big fan of spray tans, Shellac and am regularly, waxed, tinted and sculpted, although I am more likely to be found in thongs/flipflops than a pair of white stilettos these days.

What Have I Been Reading

Hi Readers- My post have been few and far between lately. It is not because I am not reading. I am working outside the house and that takes a lot more of my free time. I wanted to catch up and let you know what I’ve read in the last few weeks.

Historical Romance

Rules for a proper governess 1. Rules For A Proper Governess by Jennifer Ashley
I just finished finished this one over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. My favorite thing about this read was it wasn’t about a peer and a wallflower. It was about a barrister and a thief. For all you Ian Mackenzie fans he does makes an appearance (as do all the other Mackenzie’s).

always true to her

 2. Always True to Her by Maureen Driscoll
I enjoyed the story and characters of this book. Ms. Driscoll has a way of bringing you into a family that you never want to leave. She did with the Kellington’s and now she is doing it with the Emerson’s. James and Irene are a great couple and little Anna just steals your heart. I enjoyed the plot and character development.

The Suffragette Scandal 3. The Suffragette Scandal by Courtney Milan
This was an unforgettable read. Ms. Milan keeps breaking the mold and creating stories that are fresh and new. I love the take Free has on the world and how she make a difference. She knows it may not be the biggest difference today but it could be tomorrow. What a strong message to say. It was just a great read with a hot romance. There is a side story that I felt relayed a strong message as well.

Contemporary Romance

Seduction and Snacks 1. Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec
Holy Buckets of Laughter was what this book was about. Actually not just this book but the whole Chocolate Lovers Series. I have never laughed so hard while reading a book. This is a book that is really fun to read because of all the laughing you’ll do. It’s very open, real and raw about sex.
*I spent the better part of my summer reading these books. So fun!

Beneath It All 2. Beneath It All by Tori Madison
Being October and Breast Cancer Awareness month (it should be every month like all cancers and diseases) I wanted to make sure I pointed out this book. This book is about a young woman (my age!) finding out she has breast cancer and the toll it has on her marriage. This is a great read. It’s still a romance but with a very important message. This read made me think about my own life and marriage.

The Matchbaker 3. The Matchbaker by Jerrica Knight-Catania
This was an easy book to read and enjoy. The family dynamic is great and the twist of magic is fun. I am looking forward to more in this series.

Happy Reading!

Carnage Series by Lesley Jones

Love, Sex, Friendship, Anger, Heartbreak, Lust and Rock & Roll is what Carnage is all about. I was put on an emotional roller coaster when reading these two books. I wasn’t sure I would survive. Ok, that’s a little dramatic but I really felt every emotion when reading these books. I absolutely loved it. I had to join a support group (yes there is a support group on Facebook) after reading these books to cope.

Carnage1Carnage – The Story of Us (book 1)
Blurb: I love him, from the instant I set eyes on him when I was just 11 years old I have loved him and nothing will ever change that, he owns me, he owns my heart and he owns my body and no matter how many lies are told, no matter how many people conspire to keep us apart, despite the fame and the distance, we will find a way.

“Georgia Rae, when we made love you used to cry” … He waits for me to sing my bit. I try to swallow down a sob but I just end up singing through it…
“I said I love you like the stars above, I’ll love you till I die”

Carnage is an edgy coming of age love story that breaks all the rules and transcends the decades. Georgia and Sean’s story will stay with you long after you read the final word.
An emotional, smoking hot, gut wrenching read.

Carnage2Carnage- The Story of Me (book 2)
Blurb: When your world, your life and all of your hopes and dreams for the future are ripped out from under you, how do you go on?

Death without dying is not only the most painful kind of death, it’s also the most painful kind of life and I don’t know if I’m strong enough to live it.

I spend my lonely days and nights trying to make sense of what my life has become. Do I have the strength to move forward into the light, or should I just let the darkness take me?

I’m Georgia Rae Layton McCarthy and this is the story of me, just me.

I’m no longer a part of an us, it’s just me.
Alone.

By myself.
